      I Frances Davenport of the county of Oglethorpe & state of Georgia being of sound mind & memory, thanks be to god for the same, calling to mind the frailty of all flesh, & that it is appointed for all
      flesh to die, I do make and constitute this my last will & testament in manner & form following (to wit)

      1st My disire is that Mealy Riley Julyann Sarahann & Martha to be Equally divided between five of my Grandchildren (to wit) Richard Roseberys son John, Jesse Hewells son John, Jouett Davenports
      daughter Mary Frances, Jesse Davenports daughter Mary Frances & John Pass daughter Frances, which several childrens parts I wish to be given of when they become of age or marry ----

      My desire is that my son Jesse, shall have the tract of land I now live on provided he moves to this state, if not to be divided equally among them all.
      My desire is that my son Jesse have one featherbead and furniture----

      I wish the balance of my household & ketehin Furniture to be equally divided ---my wish is that the above named negroes shall be hired out untill the children becomes of age ---my wish & desire is that Hezekiah Larkin and Jouett Davenport be my executors & I do hereby appoint nomenate and constitute the said Hezekiah Larkin & Jouett Davenport my true & lawfull Executors to this my last will & testament to carry the same into full effect In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 24th day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hund and twenty ---

      Written: January 14 1837 Recorded: January 18 1837 Oglethorpe County, Deed Book O, page 457 Georgia This Indenture made and entered into Oglethorpe County this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven between James W Davenport William W Davenport John L Davenport Charles W Davenport and Susan T Davenport of the one part and Susannah Davenport of the other part Witnesseth that whereas heretofore to wit on the first day of June in the year eighteen hundred & twenty five a certain tract of land was given granted & forever quit claimed by the heirs of Frances Davenport deceased to Susannah Davenport the wife of Jesse Davenport deceased in trust for the said Susannah and the children of the said Jesse Davenport which tract of land is particularly refered to in said deed Now for and in consideration of the sum of Ten dollars to us in hand paid at and before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged they the said James W William W John L Charles W and Susan T. have given granted relinquished removed & forever quit claimed & do by these present give grant relinquish remove & forever quit claim all their right title & interest in and to said tract or parcel of land free from the claim of them selves their heirs executors administrators and assigns forever In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and affixed our seals this day & date above written Signed Sealed & Delivered J W Davenport in presence of Wm W Davenport Meal Smith C W Davenport Armstead Graham JP Susan T Davenport Recorded 18th January 1837 J W Davenport Clk


      Written: March 8 1821 Recorded: December 20 1821 Oglethorpe County, Deed Book K, page 170-171 This Indenture, made this Eighth day of March one thousand Eight hundred and twenty one Between James Davenport of the county of Clarke and State of Georgia of the one part and Frances Davenport of the County of Oglethorpe and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the Said James Davenport hath Bargained Sold and Delivered and by these presents doth bargain sell and deliver unto the said Frances Davenport a Certain tract or parcel of Land Situate Lying and being in the County of Oglethorpe and State aforesaid on a branch of Millstone Creek for and in consideration of the Sum of one thousand Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged butting and bounding a follows, viz, Beginning at a Red Oak Corner thence running N 75 W forty four chains to a pine corner thence N 15 E forty five chains to a hickory corner thence S 75 E forty five chains to a pine corner thence to the Beginning Red Oak Corner Including two hundred Acres be the Same more or less with all the reversions remainders or remainder proffits Services &c to the only proper use of her the said Frances Davenport her heirs and assigns and the said James Davenport doth warrant and for ever Defend the same from the Lawful Claim or Claims of any person or persons whatsoever In testimony whereof he hath hereunto set his hand and seal this day and date above written Signed Seald & Delivered in the presence of Jas.
